Jonathan Evison (The Heart of Winter, Lawn Boy, etc.) invited me to talk to his long-form fiction graduates on small press publishing and share insights on running Stalking Horse Press from a writer’s perspective. It was wonderful to be high in the Pacific Northwest, staying for a week at the carefully preserved Fort Worden. The students were warm, and fine companions for evening (and afternoon) cocktails. It would be great to return! While I was there, I managed to write my way to within a few pages of completion of the manuscript of The Projections. Watch this space.
